Nokia today announced the Nokia 5800 Navigation Edition, device that follows in the footsteps of the million-seller Nokia 5800 XpressMusic, and now comes with lifetime voice-guided DRIVE and WALK navigation licenses, quick access to the latest Ovi Maps software, full regional maps and easy zooming, all with familiar Nokia touch UI and brilliant 3.2 inch widescreen. The latest version of Ovi Maps (www.maps.ovi.com) includes a number of new features such as high-resolution aerial images, 3D landmarks for over 200 cities, terrain maps, weather service, premium travel and events content and traffic and safety warnings. The enriched point of interest information within Ovi Maps is supported by Lonely Planet, Michelin and Wcities. Navigation licenses come pre-installed and ready to use, and included in-box is a car charger and easily mountable Nokia car kit. The Nokia 5800 Navigation Edition also boasts stereo speakers and surround sound, playback time of 35 hours, swift HSDPA internet connection and 3.2 megapixel camera with Carl Zeiss optics, and memory expandable up to 16GB.
The Nokia 5800 Navigation Edition is expected to begin shipping in the third quarter of 2009 at an estimated retail price of €285 before taxes and subsidies.
